i am truly blessed.
after being in hongkong/china for a month i have found myself complaining a lot. complaining about the weather, the heat, the cold, the food, the people, pretty much everything. personally i didn’t think i was a big whiney butt but on the bus ride back to hong kong from china i started thinking to myself. why do we always seem to count what we do not have when there is so much we do have. so now my feeble attempt to count my blessings commences :)

those of you who know me probably know my mother, whether it be from an awkward car ride home, a brief encounter @casa de lai or a number of other chance encounters. my mother is an awesome parent! yes of course we don’t have a perfect relationship and we might not even be that close but i am so thankful for the life she has given me. and what a fine job she did. :) hah. she did a great job playing both the bad cop and good cop roles. she sacrificed so much to give me so many opportunities but not to the point where i was spoiled. at least i never felt spoiled. she taught me about faith, respect, and many other lessons that i wish everybody had the chance to learn. although my mom is a freak(as many of you guys have probably heard the stories) and so silly i love her and thank God for giving me an great mom :)
